Herbs perennial, to 1 m tall, pubescent. Stems branched apically or unbranched, sparsely white villous. Leaves narrowly lanceolate, to 10 X 2.5 cm, pinnatipartite; segments 20 pairs, oblong-lanceolate, margin double dentate. Inflorescences long spicate, interrupted basally, densely glandular pubescent; bracts leaflike below. Calyx 3--4 mm, densely glandular pubescent; lobes 5, triangular, ± entire. Corolla yellow; tube ca. 1.2 cm, ca. 3 X as long as calyx, pubescent outside; galea navicular, ca. as long as lower lip, margin densely bearded; lower lip ± sessile. Capsule ovoid, compressed, ca. 1.4 cm X 8 mm, apex short acuminate. Fl. Jun--Jul, fr. Aug. (Flora of China)
